Plagiarism Policy

Tamiliyal publishes original work only. Every manuscript is checked for similarity with published work before peer review, following the UGC (Promotion of Academic Integrity and Prevention of Plagiarism in Higher Educational Institutions) Regulations, 2018.

Similarity levels

  • Up to 10%: accepted.
  • 10% to 40%: the authors are asked to revise the manuscript.
  • 40% to 60%: the manuscript is returned, to be revised and submitted again.
  • Above 60%: the manuscript is declined.

Quotations, references, bibliographies, common phrases and the authors’ own data are left out of the count. Plagiarism found after publication leads to a correction or a retraction (see Corrections & Retractions).
