Peer Review Process
Every research article in Tamiliyal is peer reviewed. Review method: Double-blind (anonymous reviewers and authors).
Initial check. The editor checks that the manuscript fits the journal’s aims and scope and follows the author guidelines. Manuscripts that do not are returned within two weeks.
Similarity check. Every manuscript is checked for similarity with published work (see the Plagiarism Policy).
Peer review. At least two independent experts review the manuscript. In double-blind review, reviewers and authors do not learn each other’s names.
Revision. Authors revise the manuscript in response to the reviewers’ comments and explain the changes.
Decision. The editor decides, based on the reviews: accept, revise or decline. Authors receive the decision with the reviewers’ comments.
Production. Accepted articles are copy-edited, typeset and published in the next available issue, each with its own PDF.
Reviewers
Reviewers are chosen for their expertise and must declare any conflict of interest. They keep manuscripts confidential and do not use their content.
