Authorship should reflect substantial scholarly contribution to the work.
Each listed author should:
- Make a meaningful contribution to the research;
- Participate in drafting or critically revising the manuscript;
- Approve the final version; and
- Accept responsibility for the integrity of the work.
Individuals who contributed to the work but do not qualify for authorship should be acknowledged appropriately.
Changes to Authorship
Requests to add, remove or reorder authors after submission must be supported by a written explanation and agreement from all affected authors.
After publication, authorship changes will normally require an appropriate correction to the published record.
The journal does not permit honorary, guest or ghost authorship.
